GENERATION LAUNCHES EXCLUSIVE INTERIOR DESIGN COMMUNITY
As a well-established interior design business, Generation's passion naturally lies in the art of leading interior design and we wish to share our passion throughout South Africa and beyond. Generation are proud to announce the official opening of our very exclusive design community - Generation BLACK - which kicked off yesterday with a beautiful black-themed event in our store in Hyde Park Corner shopping centre, Johannesburg. Firstly, we'd like to say a huge thank you to all of the amazing architects, interior designers and decorators from all over South Africa that took the time out of their very busy schedules to visit our store yesterday.
DE PADOVA
Our interior design business has a passion for authentic design in any form. It is no coincidence therefore, that we have fallen in love with iconic Italian design brand, De Padova, which is renown for its beautiful furniture amongst other items. When it comes to quality craftsmanship and engineering, De Padova is without a doubt unmatched in the design industry and we are so lucky to be able to exclusively offer this premium design brand within South Africa to our clientele. Although we're based in Johannesburg, we supply to clients all over the country, with many projects in Cape Town and Durban.
SELETTI
Generation's love affair with exclusive Italian design does not end there. World-renowned accessories and homeware brand Seletti is known for their collaborations with young up-and-coming artists and designers in creating some of the most unique and out-there pieces - another truly spectacular design brand that we have the privilege of supplying to you. The philosophy behind this design brand's approach involves the creation of accessible, functional art. Each and every piece is both beautiful and functional and many have a second (generally humourous) meaning, making for small surprises and great conversation pieces within the home.
BLACK IS THE NEW BLACK
The black-inspired theme was carried through to the food with an offering of black velvet cupcakes, delicate petit-fours finished in black icing and black macaroons, all seamlessly executed by The Patisserie in Illovo.
Designer details such as black MCC bottles, blueberries and black grapes all added to the special curated Generation BLACK display, making the event an aptly unique and memorable one. Generation designers all wore black for a chic welcoming of our Generation BLACK members and we were charmed to see how many of our visitors dressed for the occasion - intentionally or not - arriving in stylish black ensembles to match!
leff amsterdam
Designer clock brand Leff Amsterdam specialises in timepieces that double up as art. From the retro-style desktop 'Brick' clock to the sleek black wall option, the 'Tone', each piece is designed to add interest to your interior.
LA LAMPE GRAS
The original architect's lamp, this collection is made up of a series of investment pieces that you keep for life. Available in a range of colours and finishes, these lights add a timeless and sculptural element to an interior, treating the space three-dimensionally. The end result is then a rich and layered look.
THE BOTTOM LINE
The various agencies have been selected to work together, enabling clients to easily put chic and comprehensive schemes together in one easy go. The demure aesthetic of De Padova is brought to life by the quirky personalisty of Seletti's functional art and anchored with accents and details of Lampe Gras and Leff Amsterdam.
